When in Rome

When in Rome - we watched this movie during our wedding anniversary day in Queenbay, Penang. It is a romantic comedy film, starring by Josh Duhamel (Nick) and Kristen Bell (Beth). Let us review back the movie:

In this movie, Beth act as a young lady, who is always unlucky in love. She is always waiting for that perfect romance love (man), which will let her put him above her job. One day, she goes to Rome to attend her sister’s wedding. While there, she meets Nick, the best man of the bridegroom.

Nick act as translator to Beth when she is giving speech.

There are some comedy scenes happened during the wedding ceremony including Beth trying to break a vase, Beth giving a speech… Actually, Beth is attracted to Nick. But after seeing him with another woman, she gets drunk and goes into the famed Fountain of Love and takes some coins thrown by people looking for love.

The thereafter, she is pursued by four men (sausage magnate, street magician, painter and male model), whose coins she took. At the mean time, Nick keeps calling her asking her out.

Beth feels disturbing by the four unknown men and she calls to her sister in order to know the truth. The legend says that if you take a coin out of the fountain the person who threw it will fall in love with who took the coin. So she has to find a way to break the curse. She refused to put back the coins in the fountain, which suggested by her sister.

At the same time, she finds out that one of the coins is belonging to Nick. So she feels the love between her and Nick is not love at all, it is just because of that legend. She keeps returning the coins to Nick without any explanation. Nick feels odd.

Finally, Beth meets all the four men and returns back the coins to them. Beth finds her true love after knowing the coin is not belonging to Nick.

This is an average movie, I think…but I did enjoyed its laughing, amusing and romantic….
